For Kyoto University's Art & Innovation 2019 event, Nekologic adapted and extended technology originally developed for a previous augmented reality project to create an interactive exhibition guide for visitors and exhibitors.

Using a 3D scan of the event venue, we developed an AR experience that allowed users to explore the exhibition space and discover information about participating artists, projects, and organisations. Content was managed through a custom CMS, enabling event information to be updated and organised independently of the application itself.

The experience was triggered from a printed floorplan of the venue, transforming a simple map into an interactive digital guide. Installed at the entrance to the exhibition, the application provided visitors with an engaging way to explore the event and learn more about the people and projects on display.

By adapting an existing technology platform to a new use case, we cut development time while tailoring the experience to a different audience and environment.
