Audio Reactive Web Visualiser.
This experimental web-based visualiser explored the relationship between sound, speech, and generative art through real-time audio-reactive graphics.
This experimental web-based visualiser explored the relationship between sound, speech, and generative art through real-time audio-reactive graphics.
Built entirely in JavaScript, the system analysed microphone input using FFT audio processing techniques to generate dynamic audio textures that could be fed directly into custom GPU shaders. The resulting visualisations responded instantly to spoken words and environmental sounds, creating abstract and evolving representations of audio input.
In addition to the real-time experience, we developed a capture system that allowed specific moments within a recording to be revisited and regenerated at extremely high resolution. This enabled individual spoken phrases or sounds to be transformed into unique still images suitable for printing, creating a physical artefact derived directly from a person's voice.
Blending web technologies, generative graphics, and audio analysis, it explored new ways to visualise and preserve sound through interactive digital art.
